Aberdare ( ; ) is a town in the Cynon Valley area of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales, at the confluence of the Rivers Dare (Dâr) and River Cynon, Cynon. Spennymoor is a town and civil parish in County Durham, England. It is south of the River Wear and is south of Durham.
