Reputation
The reputation of a social entity (a person, a social group, an organization, or a place) is an opinion about that entity typically as a result of social evaluation on a set of criteria, such as behavior or performance. Reputation is a ubiquitous, spontaneous, and highly efficient mechanism of social control. It is a subject of study in social, management, and technological sciences. Its influence ranges from competitive settings, like markets, to cooperative ones, like firms, organizations, institutions and communities. Furthermore, reputation acts on different levels of agency, individual and supra-individual. At the supra-individual level, it concerns groups, communities, collectives and abstract social entities (such as firms, corporations, organizations, countries, cultures and even civilizations). It affects phenomena of different scales, from everyday life to relationships between nations. Reputation is a fundamental instrument of social order, based upon distributed, spon ...

Reputation (album)
''Reputation'' (stylized in all lowercase) is the sixth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was released on November 10, 2017, by Big Machine Records, and would be her last release under the label. Swift became a subject of rampant tabloid scrutiny following the release of her fifth studio album '' 1989'' (2014), with the media outlets highly publicizing her personal life and her celebrity disputes. She hence secluded herself from the press and social media, where she had maintained an active presence, and created ''Reputation'' as an effort to revamp her state of mind. Influenced by the commotion, Swift wrote ''Reputation'' under two major themes: the excessive gossip surrounding her, and finding love during tumultuous events. She recruited Jack Antonoff, Max Martin, and Shellback for the album's production. Marking a stark shift from the synth-pop style of its predecessor, ''Reputation'' is built around electropop, R&B, and trap, inspired by urb ...

Reputation (Dusty Springfield Album)
''Reputation'' is the thirteenth studio album by British singer Dusty Springfield, and twelfth released. Issued on the Parlophone Records label in the UK and the rest of Europe in June 1990, ''Reputation'' was not only Springfield's first studio album in eight years at the time but also her first album to be released in her native UK since 1979's ''Living Without Your Love''. After a string of commercially overlooked albums through the late 1970s and early 1980s ''Reputation'' finally managed to resurrect Springfield's career and belatedly resulted in her being re-evaluated and recognised by both music critics and the general public as the UK's foremost 'blue-eyed soul' singer. Mainly produced by Pet Shop Boys and Julian Mendelsohn and recorded in the UK over a period of some eighteen months, ''Reputation'' became her highest charting and best-selling album in the UK since 1970's '' From Dusty with Love'', peaking at No. 18 and selling 60,000 copies within two weeks of its releas ...

Reputation Management
Reputation management, originally a public relations term, refers to the influencing, controlling, enhancing, or concealing of an individual's or group's reputation. The growth of the internet and social media led to growth of reputation management companies, with search results as a core part of a client's reputation. Online reputation management, sometimes abbreviated as ORM, focuses on the management of product and service search engine results. Ethical grey areas include mug shot removal sites, astroturfing customer review sites, censoring complaints, and using search engine optimization tactics to influence results. In other cases, the ethical lines are clear; some reputation management companies are closely connected to websites that publish unverified and libelous statements about people. Such unethical companies charge thousands of dollars to remove these posts – temporarily – from their websites. This field of public relations has developed extensively, with ...
