Republic Of Georgia
A republic, based on the Latin phrase ''res publica'' ('public affair' or 'people's affair'), is a state in which political power rests with the public (people), typically through their representatives—in contrast to a monarchy. Although a republic is most often a single sovereign state, subnational state entities that have governments that are republican in nature may be referred to as republics. Initially, DRG was a Treaty of Poti, protectorate of the German Empire. However, after the German defeat in World War I, the country was partially occupied by British Empire, British troops, who were sent there to counter a proposed Bolshevik invasion. The British had to leave ...

Coterminous with the present-day republic of Georgia, it was based on the traditional territory of Georgia, which had existed as a series of independent states in the Caucasus prior to the first occupation of annexation in the course of the 19th century.
