"Replaceable" is a song by American rock band CKY. Written and produced by the band's vocalist and guitarist Chad I Ginsburg, it is featured as the opening track on the band's 2017 fifth studio album '' The Phoenix'', and was released as the second single from the album on June 2, 2017. Composition and lyrics According to the band's lead vocalist, guitarist and producer Chad I Ginsburg, "Replaceable" is a song "about anyone that gets in your way, holds you back or slows your potential with their own blatant insecurity, fears or sickness". Loudwire's Joe DiVita provided an overview of the song upon its release, describing that "A wah-drenched guitar lick sits in the background, easing in as thumping bass notes accent the opening moments, building tension before "Replaceable" explodes with a door-kicking "Oooh!" and the groove takes charge of the track. CKY (band)
CKY (abbreviation of Camp Kill Yourself) is an American Rock music, rock band from West Chester, Pennsylvania. Formed in early 1998, the group was originally centred around the trio of Deron Miller on guitar and lead vocals, Chad I Ginsburg on lead guitar and Jess Margera on drums. The band debuted in 1999 with ''Volume 1 (CKY album), Volume 1'', gaining underground recognition from its association with the CKY (video series), ''CKY'' video series produced by Margera's brother, skateboarder Bam Margera. Jess Margera
Jesse Margera (born August 28, 1978) is an American musician. He is best known as the drummer of the rock band CKY, which he co-founded in 1998. Prior to CKY, Margera performed in the band Foreign Objects with former CKY vocalist and guitarist Deron Miller, and he has since worked with Gnarkill, Viking Skull, The Company Band, Fuckface Unstoppable, and Sovereign Eagle. Margera has also appeared in the ''CKY'' video series and the '' Viva La Bam'' and '' Jackass'' television series alongside his brother Bam. Matt Deis is an American bass guitarist. Originally from West Springfield, Massachusetts, he is best known as the bassist of the rock band CKY (band), CKY with whom he performed with between 2005 and 2010, returning in 2015 and departing again in 2019, and the current bassist of metalcore band All That Remains (band), All That Remains, with whom he performed between 2003 and 2005, but made his return in 2022. From 2019 to 2020, Deis performed with ''American Idol'' finalist Tristan McIntosh. From summer 2021-22, Deis was the touring bassist for country music duo, Thompson Square, until leaving to rejoin All That Remains (band), All That Remains. ''The Phoenix'' is the fifth studio album by American rock band CKY, released on June 16, 2017. It was the band's first album in eight years following '' Carver City'' (2009), marking the longest gap between two CKY albums. It is also the first album to feature guitarist Chad I Ginsburg providing lead vocals following the departure of Deron Miller, and the last album to feature bassist Matt Deis before his departure in 2019. Recorded primarily at Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree, California, it was produced by Ginsburg as the group's first album on Entertainment One Music. Following Miller's departure in 2011, CKY performed a number of shows in 2012 with new frontman Daniel Davies.
