Religion On The Line
''Religion on the Line'' is the name of a number of local talk radio programs, where a variety of clergy members discuss religious and other topics. On WABC in New York, it is hosted by Rabbi Joseph Potasnik and Deacon Kevin McCormack. On KCMO in Kansas City, it is hosted by Reverend Robert Lee Hill, Chancellor George M. Noonan, and Rabbi Emeritus Michael Zedek, since 1992. In Chicago it aired on WIND (AM). On KABC in Los Angeles, Lou Cook was one of the original hosts, and Carole Hemingway hosted this show from 1974 to 1982. Clergy
Clergy are formal leaders within established religions. WABC (770 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to New York, New York, carrying a conservative talk format known as "Talkradio 77". Owned by John Catsimatidis' Red Apple Media, the station's studios are located in Red Apple Media headquarters on Third Avenue in Midtown Manhattan and its transmitter is in Lodi, New Jersey. Kevin McCormack (radio Personality)
Kevin J. McCormack (born October 1, 1960) is a Roman Catholic deacon with the Diocese of Rockville Centre, assigned to Our Lady of Peace parish in Lynbrook, New York. He is also co-host of WABC radio's longest running show, ''Religion on the Line'', with Rabbi Joseph Potasnik. Education and career Kevin McCormack graduated from St. Pius X prep Seminary, Uniondale; Cathedral College, Douglaston; and the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception, Huntington and continued on to receive his master's degree in education from Fordham University. Involved in Catholic education for over 30 years throughout the New York metropolitan area, McCormack served as the principal of Xaverian High School in Brooklyn until May 2022 and as an adjunct instructor of theology at Molloy College. KCMO (710 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Kansas City, Missouri. Owned by Cumulus Media, the station airs a news/talk radio format. The studios and offices are located in Overland Park, Kansas. KCMO is also heard on FM translator 103.7 MHz K279BI and on the digital subchannel of co-owned 101.1 KCFX-HD2. The transmitter is off North Eastern Road, near Interstate 435, on Kansas City's Northeast side. KCMO broadcasts with 10,000 watts by day and 5,000 watts at night, using a directional antenna at all times. It is owned by the Salem Media Group with studios on NW Point Boulevard in Elk Grove Village. WIND is powered at 5,000 watts, using a directional antenna with a four-tower array, in Griffith, Indiana, near the Little Calumet River. Due to its location near the bottom of the AM dial, transmitter power, and the surrounding region's flat land, WIND's daytime signal covers much of Northeast Illinois, Northwest Indiana and Southeastern Wisconsin.
