Reggie Taylor (Canadian Football)
Reggie Taylor (born February 8, 1964) was a Canadian Football League (CFL) running back for the BC Lions and for the Edmonton Eskimos from 1988 through 1991. He was originally drafted by the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 11th round of the 1987 NFL Draft. He was an All-Star in 1989 and won the Eddie James Memorial Trophy that same year. Taylor played college football at the University of Cincinnati. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a professional American football team based in Tampa, Florida. The Buccaneers compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league's National Football Conference (NFC) NFC South, South division. The club joined the NFL in as an expansion team, along with the Seattle Seahawks, and played its first season in the American Football Conference (AFC) AFC West, West division. The BC Lions are a professional Canadian football team based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Lions compete in the West Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL), and play their home games at BC Place. The Lions played their first season in 1954, and have played every season since, making them the oldest professional sports franchise in British Columbia. They have appeared in the league's Grey Cup championship game 10 times, winning six, with their most recent championship occurring in 2011. Edmonton Eskimos
The Edmonton Elks are a professional Canadian football team based in Edmonton, Alberta. The club competes in the Canadian Football League (CFL) as a member of the league's West Division and plays their home games at the Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium. The Elks were founded in 1949 as the Edmonton Eskimos and have won the Grey Cup championship fourteen times (including a three-peat between 1954 and 1956 and an unmatched five consecutive wins between 1978 and 1982), most recently in 2015. Eddie James Memorial Trophy
The Eddie James Memorial Trophy is a Canadian Football League trophy, awarded to the leading rusher in the West Division. Unlike other CFL trophies, there is no equivalent for the East Division. The award is named after Eddie James, a former running back for the then Regina Roughriders in the 1930s. In 1995, as part of the American expansion, the James trophy was awarded to the leading rusher in the North Division.
