Reese And Vica
Reese and Vica is a Filipino indie-pop duo formed in 2009, composed of Reese Lansangan and Vica Hernandez. Although Lansangan and Hernandez also perform separately, together they are best known for guitar-driven songs characterized by blended vocals and whimsical storytelling. Both musicians are singer-songwriters and play guitar. The duo met while they were still in college, through the Ateneo Musicians' Pool, a student organization at the Ateneo de Manila University. Deciding to perform as a duo, they released their first EP, "Crossing Neverland," in 2010. This led to the band winning College Band of the Year at the final NU107 Rock Awards, that same year. Indie Pop
Indie pop (also typeset as indie-pop or indiepop) is a music genre and subculture that combines guitar pop with DIY ethic in opposition to the style and tone of mainstream pop music. It originated from British post-punk in the late 1970s and subsequently generated a thriving fanzine, label, and club and gig circuit. Compared to its counterpart, indie rock, the genre is more melodic, less abrasive, and relatively angst-free. Noel Gadiano Cabangon (born December 25, 1963) is a Filipino folk singer and composer, known for composing socially-relevant songs. In 1987, he formed the group ''Buklod'' together with Rene Boncocan and Rom Dongeto. Early life Noel Gadiano Cabangon was born on December 25, 1963, in the town of Rosario, La Union. At the age of ten, he began his musical career and learned to play the guitar that he borrowed from a neighbor. José Íñigo Homer Lacambra Ayala (born June 1, 1956 in Bukidnon, Philippines), professionally known as Joey Ayala, is a Filipino singer, songwriter and former chairman of the music committee of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. He is well known for his style of music that combines the sounds of Filipino ethnic instruments with modern pop music. His public music life started when he released an album recorded in a makeshift studio in 1982 in Davao City. To date, he has released fourteen albums. Raymundo Cipriano Pujante Cayabyab (born ; May 4, 1954), known professionally as Ryan Cayabyab, is a Filipino musician, composer and conductor. He was the Executive and Artistic Director for several years for the defunct San Miguel Foundation for the Performing Arts. He was named as National Artist of the Philippines for Music in 2018. His works range from commissioned full-length ballets, theater musicals, choral pieces, a Mass set to unaccompanied chorus, and orchestral pieces, to commercial recordings of popular music, film scores and television specials. Sitti Katrina Baiddin Navarro-Ramirez (born November 29, 1984 in Las Piñas), known professionally as Sitti, is a Filipino bossa nova singer. After releasing her first album, '' Café Bossa'', in 2006, other bossa nova acts in the Philippines followed. Navarro was also featured in the segment "A.S.A.P. An autotelic is someone or something that has a purpose in, and not apart from, itself. The NU Rock Awards was an annual accolade presented from 1994 to 2010 by the Metro Manila-based radio station NU 107, known for prominent performances by the most influential pinoy rock artists of each year.
