Red God's Defenders
The Red God's Defenders are a splinter group of the Ilaga. It consists of approximately 300 armed individuals who have emerged in the Muslim-majority Central Mindanao region in the southern Philippines. They refer to themselves as "Pulahan", which translates to either "Red Warriors of God" or "Red God's Defenders". Ilaga
The Ilagâ (acronym for ''Ilonggo Land Grabbers Association'') is a Christian extremist paramilitary group based in southern Philippines. The group is predominantly composed of Ilonggos, embracing a form of Folk Catholicism that utilizes amulets and violence. The Pulahan (literally "those wearing red" in Cebuano language, Cebuano; ), also known as dios-dios, were the members of a Christian revival, religious revival of Philippine mythology, Philippine beliefs that developed in the Visayas prior to the Philippine Revolution. At its peak, it numbered around 10,000–15,000 adherents.
