Beccy Cole (born Rebecca Diane Thompson, 27 October 1972), also known as Beccy Sturtzel, Rebecca Diane Albeck and Bec O'Donovan, is an Australian country music singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She has released ten studio albums, with six reaching the ARIA Albums Chart top 40, '' Little Victories'' (January 2003), '' Preloved'' (September 2010), '' Songs & Pictures'' (September 2011), ''Great Women of Country'' (with Melinda Schneider, November 2014), '' Sweet Rebecca'' (April 2015) and ''The Great Country Songbook Volume 2'' (with Adam Harvey, April 2017). Beck Cole is an Australian filmmaker of the Warramungu and Luritja nations. She is known for her work on numerous TV series, including ''First Australians'', '' Grace Beside Me'', ''Black Comedy'' and '' Wentworth'', as well as documentaries and short films. She is based in Alice Springs, in the Northern Territory. Early life, education and early career Cole grew up in Adelaide and around the Port Adelaide area. Cole started working in media as a journalist when she got a cadetship at Imparja Television, when still at school. She gained experience in both writing and presenting stories, and also worked as a news and weather presenter. She graduated from Charles Sturt University with a BA in Communication and Sociology, and soon afterwards started work in the Indigenous Unit at ABC Television, where she started her filmmaking career. Rebecca Cole
Rebecca J. Cole (March 16, 1846August 14, 1922) was an American physician, organization founder and social reformer. In 1867, she became the second African-American woman to become a doctor in the United States, after Rebecca Lee Crumpler three years earlier. Throughout her life she faced racial and gender-based barriers to her medical education, training in all-female institutions which were run by the first generation of graduating female physicians. Early life and education Cole was born in Philadelphia on March 16, 1846, one of five children. Cole attended high school at the Institute for Colored Youth where the curriculum that included Latin, Greek, and mathematics, graduating in 1863. She went on to graduate from the Woman's Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1867, under the supervision of Ann Preston, the first woman to be dean of the school. Rebecca "Bec" Cole (born 19 March 1992) is an Australian professional basketball player. Cole is a starting shooting guard for the Southside Flyers in the WNBL, and has been a member of both the Australian 3x3 national team and the Australian Opals. Early life Cole was born on 19 March 1992 in Mount Waverley, Victoria. She is the daughter of Gary and Ros Cole and has two older sisters, Jessica and Emma. Cole began her career playing for the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) at the age of 16. Professional career WNBL Cole made her Women's National Basketball League debut with the AIS in 2009–10 season at 16 years old.
