Realness (RuPaul Album)
''Realness'' is the eighth studio album from singer and drag queen RuPaul. It was released on March 2, 2015 and is RuPaul's first album to feature a Parental Advisory warning label. The album was released to coincide with the seventh season premiere of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'', which premiered the same day as the album's release. The album features guest appearances from Michelle Visage, Rebecca Romijn and Dave Audé, among others. Upon its release, the album charted at number 6 on the ''Billboard'' Dance/Electronic Albums, and 38 on the Independent Albums. The album sees RuPaul reuniting with producer Eric Kupper, producer of his debut album '' Supermodel of the World''. Michelle Visage (born Michelle Lynn Shupack, September 20, 1968) is an American television personality, singer, broadcaster, producer, and actress. She gained recognition as a member of the dance-pop group Seduction (group), Seduction, who charted five singles on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 between 1989 and 1990. Larry David Paciotti (born November 8, 1959) is an American director of pornographic films. He appears as the drag- diva persona Chi Chi LaRue (), and has been credited as director under the names "Lawrence David" and "Taylor Hudson". House is a genre of electronic dance music characterized by a repetitive Four on the floor (music), four-on-the-floor beat and a typical tempo of 115–130 beats per minute. ''Supermodel of the World'' is the debut studio album by American singer and drag queen RuPaul, released on June 8, 1993, by Tommy Boy Records. It is his second album overall, his first release being a soundtrack album. With the release of the ''Supermodel of the World'' album, RuPaul obtained higher celebrity status, notably due to the album's first single, "Supermodel (You Better Work)". Before the release of this album, he had done some modeling work as a drag queen, hence the album title. Background African American actress/comedian LaWanda Page (best known as Aunt Esther on the television series ''Sanford and Son'') is featured in spoken word clips on several album tracks, though she is heard most notably on the track "Supermodel (You Better Work)".
