Real Crime (Australian TV Channel)
Real Crime, formerly known as Crime + Investigation (often shortened to CI) is an Australian pay television channel which focuses on crime, investigation and mystery programming. It is run by Foxtel Management Pty Ltd. The channel launched on 1 January 2005, replacing the Australian feed of TechTV; it was the first version of C+I worldwide, with the American flagship launching three months later.. From that date, until 31 July 2024, the programming and name of Crime + Investigation were licensed to Foxtel by A&E Television Networks. On 2 September 2007, the channel became available in New Zealand on Sky, channel 71. On 1 August 2024, the channel rebranded to Real Crime. The channel shows a variety of shows dealing with criminal investigations. ''Road Wars'' is a British police reality television programme created by Raw Cut TV for British Sky Broadcasting and broadcast on Sky1 from 26 July 2003 to 24 January 2010. From Series 1 the show was narrated by actor Lee Boardman. The 2nd half of series 7 was narrated by actress Claire Goose. As of 2023, the show has repeats on Sky Showcase, Sky Replay, Sky Mix, Sky Witness and Sky Crime. Format Road Wars followed the work of police officers, documenting the changing tactics of criminals and the response of the UK police forces. For six seasons the show followed officers in the Thames Valley, but moved to Devon and Cornwall for the last series in 2009. The programme also features some police videos both in the UK and US. Kenda joined the department in 1973 and was promoted to detective in 1977 and assigned to the burglary division. Steve Liebmann
Steve Liebmann (born 4 May 1944) is an Australian retired television presenter, journalist and radio broadcaster. Liebmann is best known for co-hosting '' Today'' on the Nine Network between 1982 and 1986, and again from 1990 to 2005. Early life and career Born in Cooma, New South Wales, he attended Monaro High School. He became a journalist in Cooma on Radio 2XL while still in high school. He hosted "Teen Scene" from 5:30 pm to 6:00pm on week days, playing the latest records. Liebmann relocated to Canberra in 1962 and worked at radio 2CA, before moving to Sydney later in 1962 to take up a position with radio station 2UE. He presented an afternoon news and public affairs program on the station which became the top show in its timeslot. He eventually became director of news and public affairs at the station.
