Vincenzo Amato
Vincenzo Amato (born 30 March 1966) is an Italian actor and sculptor. Life and career Born in Palermo as the son of the stage director and folk musician Emma Muzzi Loffredo, after high school Amato moved to Rome, where his mother lived. Always dedicated to painting, he finished university focused on iron sculpting. After a couple of exhibitions at the art gallery Il Gabbiano in Rome, he moved to Manhattan, New York and began to exhibit with some success at the Earl McGrath Gallery in New York. In the US, Amato became friends with the director Emanuele Crialese, who directed his debut as an actor in the film '' Once We Were Strangers''. His career as an actor had a breakthrough with the role of the fisherman Pietro in Crialise's next film, ''Respiro''. Dante Spinotti, ASC, AIC is an Italian cinematographer. He is known mostly for his collaborations with directors Michael Mann and Brett Ratner. He received Academy Award nominations for ''L.A. Giovanna Mezzogiorno (; born 9 November 1974) is an Italian theatre and film actress. Early life Mezzogiorno was born in Rome, 9 November 1974, a daughter of actors Vittorio Mezzogiorno and Cecilia Sacchi. She grew up watching her parents on set. At first, she wanted to become a ballerina, and studied dancing for 13 years. After her father's death when she was 19, Mezzogiorno moved to Paris, where she attended the stages by Ariane Mnouchkine and worked for two years at the Peter Brook Workshop. Paolo Fresu (; born 10 February 1961) is an Italian jazz trumpet and flugelhorn player, as well as a composer and arranger of music. His unique trumpet sound is recognized as one of the most distinctive in the contemporary jazz scene. Fresu plays four distinct instruments: trumpet, flugelhorn, muted trumpet, and electronics.
