Raymond Van Het Groenewoud
Raymond van het Groenewoud (born 14 February 1950) is a Belgian musician. He was born in Schaerbeek, of Dutch descent, and he sings primarily in Dutch. His biggest hits include "Vlaanderen Boven", "Meisjes", "Je Veux de l'Amour", "Zjoske Schone Meid" and "Liefde voor Muziek". He refers to himself as a musician but also a poet, philosopher and clown. Career His debut was as a guitar player with Johan Verminnen. In 1972 he started the group Louisette with Erik van Neygen. A number of solo albums followed, accompanied by his group De Centimeters. In 1977 he had his first hit record, the single "Meisjes" from the album ''Nooit Meer Drinken''. His lyrics are sometimes happy, sometimes sad, jovial or philosophical. In 1980 he had his first success in the Netherlands with a concert at the Pinkpop Festival and the hit "Je Veux de l'Amour". Schaerbeek
(French language, French, ; former History of Dutch orthography, Dutch spelling) or (modern Dutch language, Dutch, ) is one of the List of municipalities of the Brussels-Capital Region, 19 municipalities of the Brussels, Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium. Nekka-Nacht
Nekka-Nacht (Eng. Nekka-Night) is an annual event organized in Antwerp, Belgium. Traditionally, it celebrates the career of a Dutch-language artist from Flanders or the Netherlands. History The first edition dates from 1969. Until 1970, the event was called Kazuno''.'' From 1971 it was organized as Nekka. Back then, other-language artists also performed, and it was rather known as a folk-festival. The first Nekka-Nacht editions in 1994 and 1995 didn't have one specific main guest yet. SABAM
SABAM is one of the Belgian associations of authors, composers and publishers. The bilingual acronym stands for "Société d'Auteurs Belge – Belgische Auteurs Maatschappij". Their headquarters is located at 41-43 rue des Deux Eglises in Brussels. As of 2023, SABAM had over 48,000 members. In 2023, SABAM distributed €130 million to rightsholders. History SABAM was founded in 1922 at the instigation of the composer under the name NAVEA. In 1945 it changed to its current name. ''Humo'' (stylized in all caps) is a popular Dutch-language Belgian weekly radio and television magazine. History and profile ''Humoradio'' (meaning a portmanteau of 'humor' and 'radio' in English) was first published in 1936 as a Dutch-language counterpart to ''Le Moustique'', now '' Télémoustique''. During World War II between 1940 and 1944, ''Humoradio'' was not published. In 1958, when television started to reach a larger audience in the country, the magazine was renamed as ''Humo''.
