Ray Hore
Ray Hore (born 9 June 1954) is an Australian professional golfer. Early life Hore is from Camden, New South Wales, a suburb of Sydney. As a youth he honed his skills at golf courses in Sydney. Golf career Hore first received media attention at the 1974 South Australian Open. In the second round, he broke the course record at Glenelg Golf Club with a 66 (−6). He received A$2,000 for breaking the course record and a case of the club's red wine. During the third round, played in "icy winds and rain," Hore came back to the field slightly with a 74 (+2). He was tied for the lead with David Galloway and Randall Vines at 215 (−1). In the final round, all 54-hole leaders played one-over-par golf on the front nine. All remained joint leaders. A professional golfer is somebody who receives payments or financial rewards in the sport of golf that are directly related to their skill or reputation. A person who earns money by teaching or playing golf is traditionally considered a "golf pro," most of whom are teachers/coaches. Barry Burgess
Barry Burgess (born 1945–46) is an Australian professional golfer. Amateur career Burgess began his career as an assistant professional at Ashlar Golf Club in Colebee, New South Wales, a suburb of Sydney. He early success as an amateur, winning the amateur junior golf title at Pymble. He shot 77-73 to defeat Alan Snape by four shots. He was 17 years old. Four years later he won the 1967 ACT Amateur Golf Championship at Royal Canberra Golf Club. He defeated Kevin Donohoe and Gerald Focken by a stroke. On 27 March 1970, Burgess played the ACT Amateur Fourball Championship with fellow scratch amateur Len Mason. Terry Gale
Terry R. Gale (born 7 June 1946) is an Australian professional golfer. Professional career Gale had a successful amateur career before turning professional at a relatively advanced age in 1976. From the mid-1970s to the early 1990s he won regularly on the PGA Tour of Australasia, the Japan Golf Tour, and the Asia Golf Circuit. Once he turned 50, he joined the European Seniors Tour, where he won seven tournaments. His best season on that tour was 2003, when he finished third on the Order of Merit. He also played on the Japanese Seniors Tour. Personal life Gale originally worked as a sheep farmer. Off the course, Gale was the second Chairman of the PGA Tour of Australasia. Edward A. Ball (4 November 1939 – 17 April 1995) was an Australian professional golfer. He won several dozen significant tournaments in his career. Golf career Ball was born in Hornsby, New South Wales. He had a decorated amateur career, including a win at the Australian Amateur in 1960, along with several other amateur victories. He turned professional in the early 1960s and found immediate success. He won his first title in 1962 at the Queensland Open. He added numerous wins after that internationally. Wyong () is a town in the Central Coast of New South Wales, located approximately 63 km SSW of Newcastle and 89 km NNE of Sydney. Randall Vines
Randall Vines (born 6 June 1945) is an Australian professional golfer. Vines was one of the top Australian golfers of his generation, winning a number of worldwide tournaments. He may be best remembered for his sterling 1968 season which included four significant worldwide wins across in Asia, Europe, and Australia, including a 17 stroke win at the Tasmanian Open.
