Raymond Bernard Evans (February 4, 1915 – February 15, 2007) was an American songwriter. He was a partner in a composing and song-writing duo with Jay Livingston, known for the songs they composed for films. Evans wrote the lyrics and Livingston wrote the music.Ray Evans papers, 1921-2012

Ray Evans (Australian Businessman)
Ray Evans (10 September 1939 – 17 June 2014) was an Australian businessperson, political conservative, and campaigner against climate change mitigation efforts. Early years and education Ray Evans was educated at Melbourne High School. He attended the University of Melbourne, from which he graduated in electrical and mechanical engineering. During university, he was president of the Melbourne University ALP Club, and a delegate from the Federated Fodder and Fuel Trades Union to Victorian ALP state conferences. He resigned from the ALP to act as campaign manager for Sam Benson in the latter's successful campaign to retain the federal seat of Batman as an independent in 1966. In the 1960s, Evans worked as an engineer in the production planning section of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria. Career He taught electrical engineering at Deakin University, Victoria. Ray Evans (halfback)
Raymond Richard Evans (September 22, 1922April 24, 1999) was an American football halfback. He was an All-American in football and a two time All-American in basketball at the University of Kansas and is considered possibly the greatest overall athlete to ever attend KU. In addition to his multi-sport prowess in college, Evans would go on to play professional football and basketball, and was even offered a contract to play baseball for the New York Yankees. College career Football He played both halfback on offense and defensive back on defense at KU. During his 1947 All-American season, Evans led the Jayhawks to a Big Six Conference championship and an appearance in the Orange Bowl. Ray Evans (offensive Lineman)
Raymond Leroy "Sugar" Evans (January 10, 1924 – April 25, 2008) was an American football lineman who played at the guard and tackle positions. A native of Electra, Texas, he attended Odessa Hills High School and played college football for the Texas Mines Miners. He began his college career in 1942 as a fullback, but he then served in the Seabees during World War II. He returned to the college after the war, moved to the line, and won all-conference honors in 1947 and again in 1948. At the end the 1948 season, he was selected by the conference coaches as the Border Conference lineman of the year. Evans initially signed to play professional football with the Cleveland Browns but was waived by the Browns at the end of August 1949. He was then sold to the San Francisco 49ers in early September 1949. Raymond Oscar Evans (December 1, 1887 – January 18, 1954) was a widely circulated American editorial cartoonist who was active from 1910 to 1954. He is best known for his cartoons entitled ''The Americanese Wall – As Congressman Burnett would build it'' and ''It’s Going To Be Just Turned Around'', both dealing with immigration. Early and personal life Evans was born in Columbus, Ohio, to Oscar R. (Ben) and Mary F. Evans and was the oldest of four children. His father was a ticket agent for a railroad company, and Ray attended public schools in Columbus. He attended Ohio State University, where he was a member of Sigma Pi fraternity. He and W. M. Kiplinger recruited Dudley Fisher to join the fraternity. He was also the illustrator for the 1909 edition of the MakiO yearbook. Ray Evans Seneca Theater
The Ray Evans Seneca Theater is a stage theater located in the city of Salamanca, New York at the corner of Broad Street (New York State Route 417) and Main Street in the center of the city. The theater is named after Ray Evans, a songwriter who was born and raised in Salamanca. History The theatre was originally called the Seneca Theatre and built by the Schine Chain to replace an aging venue a couple of blocks up the street. The building was designed by John and Drew Eberson. Construction was started in 1941 just before the outbreak of World War II. Because of a shortage of building materials caused by the war, construction was not completed until 1945 after the war ended. The theatre was called the Seneca after the Indian nation which owns the underlying ground. The entire city of Salamanca is located on the Seneca Indian reservation.
