Ratlam (Lok Sabha Constituency)
Ratlam Lok Sabha constituency (formerly, Jhabua Lok Sabha constituency) is one of the 29 Lok Sabha constituencies in Madhya Pradesh state in central India. This constituency is reserved for the candidates belonging to the Adivasi, Scheduled tribes. This constituency was renamed as Ratlam in 2008, following delimitation of the parliamentary constituencies. This constituency covers the entire Alirajpur district, Alirajpur and Jhabua district, Jhabua districts and part of Ratlam district. Alirajpur District () is one of the 55 districts of Madhya Pradesh state in India. It was created from Alirajpur, Jobat and Bhabra tehsils of the former Jhabua district on 17 May 2008. It is the least literate district in India as per Census 2011. Alirajpur is the administrative headquarters of the district. Origin of name The district is named after its headquarters, Alirajpur, which was the capital of the former princely state of Ali Rajpur.
