Ranger Corps (Ukraine)
The Ranger Corps, also known as the Ranger Corps of Special Operations Forces (, ''KRoSSO''), is a Ukrainian special forces unit that was reportedly formed in April 2024. The main task of the corps is to carry out special operations in an enemy force's rear lines with the task of conducting reconnaissance, sabotage and disruption. History The Ukrainian Ranger Corps was reportedly formed in April 2024. It's been reported that the corp is recruiting volunteers to join from May to June. Units of the corps are reported to be trained to NATO standards. As of 5 June 2024, only the 6th Special Purpose Regiment has a Military Unit Number. The Corps has taken part in the 2024 Kharkiv offensive as well as the 2024 Kursk offensive. On 25 November 2024, the 4th Ranger Regiment ambushed a Russian IFV and killed all six personnel in it. The 6th Separate Special Purpose Regiment "Ranger" (, A5018) is a Ukrainian special forces regiment that was formed in 2024 as part of the Ukrainian Ranger Corps. History The 6th Special Purpose Regiment was formed in April 2024. Its recruitment continued in May and June. It is garrisoned in Khmelnytskyi, Khmelnytskyi Oblast. The 4th Separate Special Purpose Regiment, Ranger Corps (; A5011) is a Special Operations Forces (Ukraine), Ukrainian special forces regiment that was formed in 2024 as part of the Ranger Corps (Ukraine), Ukrainian Ranger Corps. History The regiment has taken part in the 2024 Kursk offensive. A soldier of the Regiment (Tatsenko Oleksandr Romanovich) was killed in Kursk Oblast in October 2024. On 25 November 2024, the regiment ambushed a Russian Desertcross 1000-3 vehicle carrying six soldiers using live fire and kamikaze drones, all the Russian personnel were killed.
