Ranczo (TV Series)
''The Ranch'' (Polish language, Polish: ''Ranczo'') is a Polish television comedy series, directed by Wojciech Adamczyk, that originally aired from March 25, 2006 to May 24, 2009, and again from March 6, 2011 to November 27, 2016 on TVP1. It follows the story of Lucy Wilska, a Polish-American who has inherited her great grandmother's country home in the fictional small village of Wilkowyje. She arrives in Wilkowyje with intent to sell the cottage but, after seeing the charm of the village, decides to stay. Characters Lucy Wilska – an American of Polish descent, who inherits her grandmother's manor house in a small village Wilkowyje in eastern Poland. She's optimistic, honest, kind and brave in willing to act to improve the world around her. She befriends Kusy, who lives in a cottage next to her house and the two soon start a relationship. 2015 Polish Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in Poland on 10 and 24 May 2015. In the first round of voting Law and Justice (Poland), Law and Justice (PiS) candidate, lawyer and Member of the European Parliament, Andrzej Duda received the highest number of votes with a share of 34.76%, followed by the incumbent president Bronisław Komorowski (with 33.77%), who ran as an independent with the endorsement of the Civic Platform (PO), whose membership he had renounced after winning the 2010 elections. Independent candidate Paweł Kukiz came in third with 20.80% of the votes. As no candidate had received more than 50% of the votes cast, a second round was held on 24 May between the two highest-placed candidates, Duda and Komorowski. ''The Career of Nicodemus Dyzma'' () is a political novel by the Polish author Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz. It was serialized in the newspaper ''ABC'' from 1 January to 26 May 1931 before being published in book form by Towarzystwo Wydawnicze Rój in 1932. Having become his first major literary success with immediate material rewards, it prompted Dołęga-Mostowicz to write and publish roughly two books per year (in total, he wrote 17 novels). Polish Americans () are Americans who either have total or partial Polish ancestry, or are citizens of the Republic of Poland.
