An American comic book is a thin periodical literature originating in the United States, commonly between 24 and 64 pages, containing comics. ''Marvel Two-in-One'' is an American comic book series published by Marvel Comics featuring Fantastic Four member the Thing in a different team-up each issue. Publication history Original series The concept of teaming the Thing with a different character in each issue was given a test run in '' Marvel Feature'' #11-12 and proved a success. ''Marvel Two-in-One'' continued from the team-up stories in the final two issues of ''Marvel Feature'' and lasted for 100 issues from January 1974 through June 1983. ''The Encyclopedia of Super-Villains'' is a 1987 reference book written by Jeff Rovin and published by Facts on File that gives biographical details about comic book villains. (Issue #132), Jeff Grubb reviewed this book and its companion, ''The Encyclopedia of Superheroes'', and found that this book was good, but not as good as the ''Superheroes'' book. Grubb found this book "has a major flaw in organization", where major villains are detailed in the entries of otherwise less notable villains rather than having their own separate entries. Publication history Created by British-born Canadian-raised writer and artist John Byrne, as well as Chris Claremont, the team's leader - Weapon Alpha (later renamed to Guardian), first appeared in ''The Uncanny X-Men'' #109.
