The Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards (RNG Awards) are one of the awards in India in the field of journalism. Named after Ramnath Goenka, the awards have been held annually since 2006, with the 12th edition being held in 2017. Buno Ramnath
Ramnath Tarkasiddhanta, popularly known as ''Buno Ramnath'', was a prominent logician, scholar and ideal teacher of Nabadwip in the eighteenth century. He was called ''Buno'' as he had set up his Chatuspathi in a forest area. Early life Ramnath was born in the middle of the eighteenth century but historians has a doubt about his birthplace. According to Dr. Alok Kumar Chakraborty, he was the son of Abhayaram Tarkabhushan of the Bhattacharya family of Dhatrigram. Beside that, Joggeshwar Chowdhury said that Samudragarh is the birthplace of Ramnath. Career After acquiring an outstanding reputation for his erudition, Ramnath set up Chatuspathi in Nabadwip and taught there. He was always engrossed in the pursuit of knowledge. The Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law, popularly known as the G.R. Kare College of Law, and also as the Kare Law College, is a law college located at Comba in Margao, Goa. Ramnath Biswas ( bn, রামনাথ বিশ্বাস, Ramnath Bishshash; 13 January 1894 – 1 November 1955) was an Indian revolutionary, soldier, globetrotter and travelogue writer. He is known for circumnavigating the globe by bicycle. Early life Ramnath was born to Birajanath Biswas and Gunamayee Devi in the year 1894 in the Vidyabhusanpara village of Baniachong in the Sylhet District of Assam which now falls under Habiganj District of Bangladesh.
