Raindrops (Stunt Song)
"Raindrops" is a dance music song released in 2006 by the British production team Stunt. Produced in Canada by Dave Valler and Gary Johnson, it reached number 8 in Finland. At least six different mixes have been released. Lyrically, "Raindrops" compares the feeling of "raindrops on my skin" to love. An early report by the Guildford Borough Council describes Smitten-Downes' involvement in the piece:Molly Smitten-Downes, a student at Guildford's Academy of Contemporary Music, recorded a song called "Raindrops" which had already received airtime on commercial radio and BBC One in November, two days after being fingered by Marty K. In co-operation with a former student, Dave Valler, she also wrote the lyrics and melody to a backing track owned by Jiant Productions; the song was to be released through Ministry of Sound, with whom Molly and Dave signed a publishing deal which, it was hoped, might lead to a career of stardom. Dance music is music composed specifically to facilitate or accompany dancing. It can be either a whole piece or part of a larger musical arrangement. Dance Nation was a British independent record label which was a subsidiary of Ministry of Sound. When founded in 2007 it was known as Hard2Beat Records, and was rebranded to its current name in 2010. The label's first release was " Now You're Gone" by Basshunter, and they have released other singles and compilation albums since then. In April 2009 they held ''Dance Nation Live'', a live arena tour across the UK. Basshunter headlined the tour with acts including Sash!, Lasgo, and Platnum. Dance Nation had its own customized content channel on Audiotube. The label brand was used as a Sky TV Channel in 2012, since it has not had any new releases or live tours. The official website went offline in April 2015 as well as all social media sites. Jonas Erik Altberg (; born 22 December 1984), known professionally as Basshunter, is a Swedish singer, record producer, songwriter and DJ. As indicated by his stage name, Basshunter is known for bass-heavy Eurodance music. Born and raised in Halmstad he moved to Malmö in 2006. As a young teen, Basshunter sang in a choir his mother ran. He started producing music at the age of 17, and later he started performing in local venues in his early career. A mashup (also mesh, mash up, mash-up, blend, bastard pop or bootleg) is a creative work, usually a song, created by blending two or more pre-recorded songs, typically by superimposing the vocal track of one song seamlessly over the instrumental track of another and changing the tempo and key where necessary. Jens Kindervater (born July 13, 1974) is a German electronic dance music DJ and producer. He is particularly known for the "Michael Mind Project", which he founded together with Francois Sanders in 2007 as "Michael Mind" and renamed in 2010. Life Jens Kindervater was born July 13, 1974, in Aachen, where he grew up. He attended the Anne Frank High School in Aachen, graduating in 1994. He then began studying mechanical engineering, but broke it off due to his love of music. Stunt is a dance music project of British remixers/producers Pete Kirtley, Molly Smitten-Downes, Simon Wills, Mark Dowling and Dave Valler. Stunt is signed to Absolute records with their releases distributed through AATW ( All Around the World). History David Valler and Molly Smitten-Downes collaborated to write lyrics and a melody (topline) over the Sash! hit " Encore une fois", creating an international club hit, " Raindrops". It was picked up in the United States by Ultra Records and by Ministry of Sound in the United Kingdom in 2006.
