Rainbow Coalition may refer different or related political concepts or movements in various parts of the world. In countries with parliamentary systems, it can refer to any coalition government composed of a coalition of several ideologically unrelated political parties united by opposition to one or more dominant parties. In the US, the "rainbow" concept has mainly referred to a diversity ethnicities and other demographic categories within a political organization or movement. Coalition Government
A coalition government is a form of government in which political parties cooperate to form a government. The usual reason for such an arrangement is that no single party has achieved an absolute majority after an election, an atypical outcome in nations with majoritarian electoral systems, but common under proportional representation. A coalition government might also be created in a time of national difficulty or crisis (for example, during wartime or economic crisis) to give a government the high degree of perceived political legitimacy or collective identity, it can also play a role in diminishing internal political strife. The Green Party of the United States (GPUS) is a federation of Green state political parties in the United States. The party promotes green politics, specifically environmentalism; nonviolence; social justice; participatory democracy, grassroots democracy; anti-war; anti-racism; libertarian socialism and eco-socialism. On the political spectrum, the party is generally seen as left-wing. The GPUS was founded in 2001 as the Association of State Green Parties (ASGP) split from the Greens/Green Party USA (G/GPUSA). The Rainbow (Dutch: ''Regenboog'') was an alliance of Dutch political parties, which included: the Political Party of Radicals, the Pacifist Socialist Party, the Evangelical People's Party and the Communist Party of the Netherlands. The Stubb Cabinet was the 73rd Government of Finland, which stepped into office on 24 June 2014. It succeeded Jyrki Katainen's cabinet. The cabinet's prime minister was Alexander Stubb. In September 2014, the Green League announced its departure from the cabinet after the majority of the cabinet voted to approve a new decision-in-principle for the Fennovoima nuclear project. The Katainen Cabinet (—June 24, 2014) was the 72nd cabinet of Finland, formed as a result of the 2011 post- parliamentary election negotiations between the Finnish parliamentary parties.
