Rain Rannu
Rain Rannu (born 2 April 1980) is an Estonian screenwriter, movie director, investor and entrepreneur. He is known as a serial entrepreneur, who is behind Fortumo, a mobile payments technology company sold to Boku in 2020, and a partner at investment fund Superangel. In 2016 he entered movie industry by releasing his first movie ''Chasing Ponies''. In 2021 he released first private movie investment fund in Estonia. The University of Tartu (UT; et, Tartu Ülikool; la, Universitas Tartuensis) is a university in the city of Tartu in Estonia. It is the national university of Estonia. Fortumo was an Estonian company which developed a platform for digital service providers for user growth and monetization. Fortumo's products allowed digital merchants to acquire new users through telco bundle partnerships and collect payments using carrier billing & mobile wallets. The company connected merchants to a network of more than 300 telcos and digital wallets in Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. The company started in 2007 as a spin-off of a mobile service company called Mobi Solutions.
