Sirasa Superstar
''Sirasa Superstar'' was a musical reality show conducted in Sri Lanka by the TV channel Sirasa TV. The first four seasons were inspired by the program called American Idol an American singing competition series, the fifth and sixth seasons are similar to The Voice. The seventh season was finished on 9 July 2016. The show has been succeeded bThe Voice Sri Lankafrom 2020 onwards. Overview The goal is to find the most talented upcoming singer in the country. On average, about 2,000 audition. Out of all those who audition, 100 contestants were chosen to advance. Next, each contestant is given a chance to perform two songs, and from several groups, 48 contestants are chosen by the judging panel. Then, viewers are given a limited time period to vote for their favorites in the respective rounds (that is, Final 24, Final 12, and Final 2, through the SMS system). Sirasa TV
Sirasa TV is a digital, terrestrial television network in Sri Lanka. It is the sister channel of ' TV One' (Previously MTV Channel and MTV Sports) which was established in 1992. Sirasa TV was started in 1998 as a sister to its radio network Sirasa FM. Sirasa TV is owned by the Sri Lankan business conglomerate, Capital Maharaja Group together with Gregson Holdings Ltd. Since then, another multi-national company - International Media Management - has also invested in MTV. It broadcasts its programs mainly in Sinhala. TV Derana
Derana TV is a Sri Lankan private entertainment terrestrial television channel broadcasting in Sri Lanka. Launched on 11 October 2005, it is one of the most popular television networks in the country. Its main transmission tower is on the Kikilimana mountain, and coverage is extended nationwide via eight transmission towers. The channel is available on digital medium through Dialog TV, PEO TV and the newly launched OTT platform GLUUOO. Sri Lanka's Got Talent
Sri Lanka's Got Talent (often abbreviated as SLGT) is a Sri Lankan television talent show which started in 2017 and originated from the Got Talent franchise. It is a Stein Studios production and will be aired on Sirasa TV. Contestants of any age, who possess some sort of talent, can audition for the show, with their performance judged by a panel of judges; the current lineup consists of Jackson Anthony, Soundarie David Rodrigo and Tillakaratne Dilshan. Those that make it through the auditions compete against other acts in a series of quarterfinals, and then the semifinals. Three acts are chosen in each quarterfinal by the judge board to move on to the semifinals. Series 1 Overview The preliminary rounds took place at E. L.
