Ragna Ahlbäck
Ragna Ahlbäck (1914 – 2002) was a Finnish Ethnography, ethnographer and archivist. Early life Ragna Ulrica Ahlbäck (née Nikander) was born on 17 July 1914 in Porvoo. She grew up in Turku where her father, cultural historian and professor :fi:Gabriel Nikander, Gabriel Nikander, taught at Åbo Akademi University, Åbo Akademi University. Niklander completed her doctoral dissertation in 1955. "Kökar: näringslivet och dess organisation i en utskärssocken" established her as a pioneer in the area of Nordic studies. Family life Ragna married the linguist :fi:Olav Ahlbäck, Olav Ahlback. The couple had a son, :sv:Tore Ahlbäck, Tore, who became a Theology, theologian and librarian. Ethnography
Ethnography (from Greek ''ethnos'' "folk, people, nation" and ''grapho'' "I write") is a branch of anthropology and the systematic study of individual cultures. Ethnography explores cultural phenomena from the point of view of the subject of the study. A woman is an adult female human. Prior to adulthood, a female human is referred to as a girl (a female child or adolescent).
