Rafael de Jesus Mariano (born 24 October 1990), simply known as Rafael Mariano, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Confiança . Career Graduated in the EC Primavera from Indaiatuba, Rafael Mariano played in the first part of his career, especially for teams in the state of Tocantins. He arrived at Globo FC in 2014 where he remained until 2018. Mariano scored a goal from his own penalty area in the 2017 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, against Guarany de Sobral. In 2020 he was part of the state champion squad for ABC, and was then hired by Manaus FC, where in 2021 he was champion again. After some unremarkable spells, he arrived at Serra Branca in 2024, being later negotiated with Sampaio Corrêa, where he played in the 2024 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C. The 2024 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C was a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the third division. It began on 20 April and ended on 19 October 2024. Twenty teams competed in the tournament, twelve returning from the 2023 season, four promoted from the 2023 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D ( Athletic, Caxias, Ferroviária and Ferroviário) and four relegated from the 2023 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B (ABC, Londrina, Sampaio Corrêa and Tombense). Guarany Sporting Club, commonly known as Guarany de Sobral or just as Guarany, is a Brazilian football club from Sobral, Ceará state. They competed once in the Série B and in the Série C, and won the Série D once. History Guarany Sporting Club was founded on July 2, 1938, at Luiz Nogueira Adeodato's home, located in Sobral, Ceará state. The 2017 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, the third level of the Brazilian League, was contested by 20 clubs. The competition started on 14 May and ended on 21 October 2017.
