Rafael Fernández Reyes (11 March 1897 – 1964) was a general and Commander-in-chief of the Chilean Army. He took office as commander-in-chief on 9 January 1950 and left on 28 October 1952. He also was a fencing, fencer, and competed in the individual sabre (fencing), sabre competition at the 1924 Summer Olympics. Rafael Luis Fernández Álvarez (September 17, 1913 – December 18, 2010) was a Spanish politician and former political exile. Fernández served as the President of the Regional Council of Asturias from 1978 until 1981 before becoming the first President of the Principality of Asturias from 1981 until May 1983. He was a member of the regional Federación Socialista Asturiana (FSA-PSOE) and the larger Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE). Rafael Luis Fernández Álvarez was born into a poor family on September 17, 1913, in Oviedo, the capital of Asturias, Spain. His father, Carlos, was employed at the Fábrica de Armas, an arms factory in Oviedo. His mother, Dolores, operated a catering business in Oviedo. Fernández Álvarez enrolled at the University of Oviedo, but did not complete his law degree at the university. Rafael Fernández Martínez (born 5 May 1989), commonly known as Chumbi, is a Spanish footballer who plays as a forward. Club career Born in Águilas, Region of Murcia, Chumbi started playing as a senior with Atlético Madrid's C-team. In summer 2009 he joined Caravaca CF of Segunda División B but, in the following transfer window, returned to Tercera División by signing with Lorca Deportiva CF. In July 2010, Chumbi moved to CF Reus Deportiu still in the fourth division. In his first season he scored 12 goals (three of them in the play-offs), helping the Catalans return to the third level after five years.
