RU-38 (ice Hockey)
Rosenlewin Urheilijat-38 (Finnish for ''Rosenlew Athletes-38'') was a sports club owned by the Rosenlew factories. The club was formed in 1938 but the hockey team was formed in the 1950s. RU-38 won the Finnish Championships in ice hockey in 1967 and the Finnish Cup in 1965. History RU-38 won the Finnish championship in 1967 and the Finnish Cup in 1965. Karhu-Kissat is a Finnish ice hockey club founded in 1938 and based at Helsinki. From 1942 until 1974 the club played in the top two levels of the Finnish ice hockey league system. Nowadays the club operates as a sports academy, investing especially in the provision of training and experience for young players. The club's activities take place mainly at the city's western region. History The first team was created by a group of teenagers from HJK who had played hockey in junior games. Matti Keinonen (6 November 1941 – 27 November 2021) was a Finnish professional ice hockey player and coach. During his career he played in the SM-sarja with Lukko, Lukko Rauma, RU-38 (sports club), RU-38, Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi, HJK Helsinki, Jokerit, and HC TPS, TPS Turku. He was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 1987, and into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2002. Keinonen was nicknamed as "Mölli". He died in Uusikaupunki on 27 November 2021, at the age of 80.
