RTS 1 () is a Swiss public television channel owned by RTS Radio Télévision Suisse, the public broadcaster for the Romand people. History Launched on 1 May 1954 to succeed Télé Genève, RTS Un is the first channel of the two Swiss French networks of television group RTS (the other being RTS Deux RTS 2 (''RTS deux''), launched on 1 September 1997 as TSR2 and renamed in 2012, is the second Swiss (French-speaking) public television channel owned by RTS Radio Télévision Suisse (RTS); the other is RTS 1. The Radio Télévision Suisse (; "Swiss Radio Television"), shortened to RTS, is a subsidiary of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG SSR), operating in French-speaking Switzerland. It was created on 1 January 2010 by a merger of Radio Suisse Romande (RSR) and Télévision Suisse Romande (TSR). TV5Monde (), formerly known as TV5, is a French public television network, broadcasting several channels of French-language programming. It is an approved participant member of the European Broadcasting Union. The network is available across Europe on satellite via Astra 19.2°E and Eutelsat Hot Bird (13°E) (both free-to-air), online and via TVPlayer. Summary TV5 started on 2 January 1984 and was under the management of Serge Adda until his death in November 2004. ''26 minutes'' (''26’'') was a weekly French-language Swiss television comedy program starring Vincent Kucholl and Vincent Veillon. It was aired between 2015 and 2017 on RTS Un, succeeding their daily radio program ''120 secondes'' (''120’’'') from 2011 to 2014 on Couleur 3 (Radio télévision suisse). Marie-Pierre Genecand, "« 120 secondes » s’empare de la télévision", ''Le Temps'', Thursday 15 January 2015. In 2017, ''26 minutes'' was also broadcast with German subtitles on SRF zwei.
