Quick Den Haag
H.V. & C.V. Quick, also known as Quick Den Haag, is a Dutch football and cricket club from The Hague. Since 2017, its first male football squad plays in the Sunday Derde Divisie. Quick is the Dutch National Football Champion of 1908 and Dutch National Cup winner of 1909, 1910, 1911, and 1916. The cricket departments of both men and women have won the national championship several times. The male department won three times in the second half of the 20th century and twice in the 21st century. The women won the title five times in the 21st century. Derde Divisie
The Derde Divisie (; en, Third Division), formerly known as Topklasse (; en, Top Class), is the fourth tier of football in the Netherlands, which had its inaugural season as a third tier in 2010–11 and as a fourth tier in 2016–17. The league is placed between the Tweede Divisie and the Vierde Divisie (formerly Hoofdklasse), the third and fifth tiers of Dutch football, respectively. 2016–17 Hoofdklasse
The 2016–17 season of the Hoofdklasse was played in four leagues, two Saturday leagues and two Sunday leagues. The champions of each group were promoted directly to the 2017–18 Derde Divisie. The 2016–17 Hoofdklasse started on Saturday 13 August 2016. Play-offs Promotion In each competition teams play periods of 10 games for a total of 3 per season (30 games per season). After each period the best team which hasn't qualified yet will earn a spot in the play-offs for the Derde Divisie as the period champion. 6 teams from the Saturday Hoofdklasse will play against 2 teams from the Saturday Derde Divisie for 2 promotion spots. The Vierde Divisie, formerly known as Hoofdklasse () is the second-highest league of amateur football in the Netherlands, and the fifth tier in general. Background The league is divided into two sections: Saturday and Sunday. This is a result of the traditional pillarisation ( nl, verzuiling), the segregation of Dutch society. The ''Saturday'' clubs are mainly Protestant Christian clubs, who were not allowed to play on Sunday. The ''Sunday'' clubs were in general Catholic and working class clubs, whose players had to work on Saturday and therefore could only play on Sunday. FC Lienden is a football club from Lienden, Netherlands. The club was established on 1 August 1930. History In 2010s, the club saw a rise through the Dutch football pyramid, under the guidance of former professional player Hans Kraay Jr., who served as head coach from 2004 to 2011. He returned to Lienden in 2016. On 12 November 2008 the club became famous nationwide by defeating Eredivisie squad Vitesse Arnhem by 1–0 in the third round of the national KNVB Cup.
