The Department of Housing and Public Works is a ministerial department within the Queensland Government, tasked with providing housing, sport, digital technology, and urban design and architecture services Both Smart Service Queensland (SSQ) and Queensland Shared Services (QSS) sit within Housing and Public Works, providing whole-of-government services including HR, payroll, procurement, infrastructure, and state-wide contact centre solutions. The department was previously called the Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy prior to the November 2024 machinery of government changes. Smart Service Queensland
''SMart'' was a British CBBC television programme based on art, which began in 1994 and ended in 2009. The programme was recorded at BBC Television Centre in London. Previously it had been recorded in Studio A at Pebble Mill Studios in Birmingham. The format is similar to the Tony Hart programmes ''Take Hart'' and '' Hartbeat''. The show was revamped into an hour-long show in 2007; from 1994 to 2006 it was previously a 25-minute show. From 1994 to 2005, the show also featured Morph, originally from ''Take Hart''. The series run featured 199 episodes, last airing on 11 August 2011. Blackwater is a rural town and locality in the Central Highlands Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , the locality of Blackwater had a population of 4,702 people. It is a town in a significant coal mining area in Central Queensland. The name of the township was inspired by the dark colour of local waterholes. Queensland Housing Commission
The Queensland Housing Commission was a Queensland Government agency which was established in 1945 under the ''State Housing Act 1945''. The agency aimed to improve the lives of individuals and families by providing access to secure, affordable and appropriate housing. One of the earliest and biggest projects undertaken by the Commission was a detached housing estate in Inala. In the Brisbane suburb of Stafford a significant number of post-war Queensland Housing Commission homes were built on quarter-acre blocks in the 1940s and 1950s. After the Second World War, the Imported Homes Scheme was initiated and funded by the Federal government.
