Prostanthera Nudula
''Prostanthera nudula'', commonly known as Mount Illbillee mintbush, is a species of flowering plant in the family Lamiaceae and is endemic to South Australia. It is a shrub with branches that become spiny, narrow elliptic leaves and pale cream-coloured flowers with yellow dots inside. Description ''Prostanthera nudula'' is an erect to scrambling shrub that grows to a height of with branches that become rigid spines as they age. The leaves are narrow elliptic, long and wide on a petiole long. The flowers are arranged on pedicels long with bracteoles long near the base. The sepals are yellowish green, forming a tube long with two lobes, the lower lobe long and the upper lobe long. The petals are pale cream-coloured with yellow spots, long, the central lower lobe long and about wide. John McConnell Black
John McConnell Black (28 April 1855 – 2 December 1951) was a Scottish botanist who emigrated to Australia in 1877 and eventually documented and illustrated thousands of flora in South Australia in the early 20th century. His publications assisted many botanists and scientists in the decades that followed. He was the younger brother of theatre and hotel manager Helen Carte. Black was born at Wigtown, Scotland and educated at Wigtown Grammar School, the Edinburgh Academy, the College School, Taunton and a commercial trade school in Dresden, Germany. He was a linguist, able to understand Arabic, French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish. He migrated to Australia in 1877 and developed an interest in Australian Aboriginal languages. Enid Lucy Robertson
Enid Lucy Robertson () (20 November 1925 - 10 July 2016) was a systematic botanist, curator of herbaria, and conservationist from South Australia. In the 1970s, she developed a new and innovative way to manage reserves, writing the ''Watiparinga Reserve Management Plan'', which subsequently became the model used for other small to medium reserves in urban areas. For this she was awarded a Heritage Award by the Australian Governor General in 1986. Robertson was made a member of the order of Australia in 1987 for her services to botany. Early life Robertson was born Enid Lucy Ashby on the 20 November 1925 to parents (Arthur) Keith Ashby (1896-1971) and Edith Mary Walker in Unley, South Australia. Sir John Burton Cleland CBE (22 June 1878 – 11 August 1971) was a renowned Australian naturalist, microbiologist, mycologist and ornithologist. Everard Ranges
The Everard Ranges, officially known as The Everard Ranges, is a range of low rounded granite hills located in the Australian state of South Australia in the Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara lands about west of Mintabie. It is of Palaeocene origin between 20 and 60 million years ago, in Central Australia . Musgrave Ranges is a mountain range in Central Australia, straddling the boundary of South Australia ( Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara) and the Northern Territory ( MacDonnell Shire), extending into Western Australia.
