Prospect (Slovenian Band)
Prospect is a Slovenian progressive metal band from Ljubljana founded in 1991. Their influences include Queensrÿche, Fates Warning, Dream Theater and Iron Maiden. To be directed at the international market, the band writes all their lyrics in English. History The band was founded in 1999 when their first album, ''#1'' was released. The album was warmly accepted among local heavy metal fans and also abroad. In 2002, their second album, ''Moments'', was released and Simon Jovanovič left the band and started his own project, Unspoken. After a long time of searching, ''Robi Grdič'' replaced him as vocalist. At some of their concerts, they were an opening band of Paul Di'Anno (former Iron Maiden member) during his tour in Ljubljana and Zagreb in 2001. Metalcamp
MetalDays was a heavy metal music festival held annually Slovenia. It saw increased popularity every year with more media coverage, and saw bands like Megadeth, Slayer, Amon Amarth, Volbeat and Sabaton and many more play at the festival. It was also known for its sustainability and ecology initiatives and won a greener future award 5 years in a row. From 2004 till 2022, the festival was held in Sotočje, Tolmin. In 2010, the tickets were limited to 12,000, but the limit was later increased to 25,000. 2012 was the last year when the name Metalcamp was used before the name was changed to MetalDays in 2013. In 2023, the location changed to Lake Velenje, Velenje. The festival was last held in 2023 and was officially discontinued in 2024. Exodus (band)
Exodus is an American thrash metal band formed in 1979 in Richmond, California. Their current lineup consists of guitarists Gary Holt (musician), Gary Holt and Lee Altus, bassist Jack Gibson, drummer Tom Hunting, and lead vocalist Rob Dukes. Notable former members include vocalists Paul Baloff and Steve Souza, Steve "Zetro" Souza, drummers John Tempesta and Paul Bostaph, and founding guitarist Kirk Hammett who later joined fellow Bay Area thrash metal band Metallica. There are no original members left in Exodus other than Hunting, who had departed from the band twice, in 1989 and 2004, but rejoined in 2007. Holt, who has been in the band since 1981, is the only member to appear on all of Exodus' recordings. Nuclear Assault
Nuclear Assault was an American thrash metal band formed in New York City in 1984. Part of the mid-to-late 1980s thrash metal movement, they were one of the main bands of the genre to emerge from the East Coast along with Overkill, Whiplash, Toxik, Carnivore, and Anthrax, the last of which was co-founded by Nuclear Assault bassist Dan Lilker, who had been canned from Anthrax shortly after the release of their first album. Nuclear Assault released five full-length albums and toured relentlessly throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, and broke up in 1995. The band reunited briefly in 1997, and permanently from 2001 to 2008 and again from 2011 to 2022.
