Crayfish
Crayfish are freshwater crustaceans belonging to the clade Astacidea, which also contains lobsters. In some locations, they are also known as crawfish, craydids, crawdaddies, crawdads, freshwater lobsters, mountain lobsters, rock lobsters, mudbugs, baybugs or yabbies. Taxonomically, they are members of the superfamilies Astacoidea and Parastacoidea. They breathe through feather-like gills. Some species are found in brooks and streams, where fresh water is running, while others thrive in swamps, ditches, and paddy fields. Most crayfish cannot tolerate polluted water, although some species, such as '' Procambarus clarkii'', are hardier. Crayfish feed on animals and plants, either living or decomposing, and detritus. Cambaridae
The Cambaridae are the largest of the four families of freshwater crayfish, with over 400 Species. Most of the species in the family are native the United States east of the Great Divide and Mexico, but fewer range north to Canada, and south to Guatemala and Honduras. Three live on the island of Cuba. The species in the genus '' Cambaroides'' are the only found outside North America, as they are restricted to eastern Asia. A few species, including the invasive ''Procambarus clarkii'' and ''Faxonius rusticus'', have been introduced to regions far outside their native range (both in North America and other continents). Parkhill Prairie
There are five county parks in Collin County, Texas. Bratonia Park Located east of Lucas, Texas adjacent to Lake Lavon and next to a United States Army Corps of Engineers park, also named Bratonia Park. The Collin county Bratonia Park features a complete Model Airplane airpark, including a paved landing strip, workbenches and pilot zones. This park is operated and managed by the Richardson Radio Control Club. Myers Park Myers Park and Event Center was originally created as the Collin County Youth Park in 1969 with area donated by John and Winnie Myers. The park has since grown to over of rolling land. Myers Park and Event Center is dedicated for use by the residents of Collin County. Trinity River (Texas)
The Trinity River is a river, the longest with a watershed entirely within the U.S. state of Texas. It rises in extreme northern Texas, a few miles south of the Red River. Data Deficient
A data deficient (DD) species is one which has been categorized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as offering insufficient information for a proper assessment of conservation status to be made. This does not necessarily indicate that the species has not been extensively studied; but it does indicate that little or no information is available on the abundance and distribution of the species.
