Adler Primus
The Adler Primus is a small family car introduced by the Frankfurt based auto-maker, Adler in March 1932. Oswald, p 19 In a move reminiscent of British Leyland in the 1970s, Adler launched two similarly sized cars in the same year, one of which followed the then new trend set by DKW for front-wheel drive, and one respecting the conventional rear-wheel drive configuration still used by the market leader, Opel. The Primus was the first of the smaller Adlers to be introduced, early in 1932, and was the rear wheel drive offering; Adler Trumpf was the other. The conservative design was the responsibility of Otto Göckeritz, the man who had designed the company's first small car back in 1906. The 1932 Primus was effectively a scaled down version of the manufacturer’s Standard 6 of 1927, applying the same high bodied design with a simple “overslung” chassis on which the car's rigid axles fitted underneath the principal loadbearing lengths of the chassis. Engine At launch ...

Primus Peak
Primus Peak () is located in North Cascades National Park in the U.S. state of Washington. Primus Peak is flanked by North Klawatti Glacier to the south and Borealis Glacier to the northeast. Tricouni Peak is situated immediately east of Primus Peak. Climate Primus Peak is located in the marine west coast climate zone of western North America.Beckey, Fred W. Cascade Alpine Guide, Climbing and High Routes. Seattle, WA: Mountaineers Books, 2008. Most weather fronts originate in the Pacific Ocean, and travel northeast toward the Cascade Mountains. As fronts approach the North Cascades, they are forced upward by the peaks of the Cascade Range, causing them to drop their moisture in the form of rain or snowfall onto the Cascades ( Orographic lift). As a result, the west side of the North Cascades experiences high precipitation, especially during the winter months in the form of snowfall. During winter months, weather is usually cloudy, but, due to high pressure systems over ...

Marcus Antonius Primus
Marcus Antonius Primus (born between 20 AD and 35 AD – died after 81 AD) was a senator and general of the Roman Empire. Biography Early life Primus was born at Tolosa (Toulouse) in Gaul. Possibly he was descended from Gauls who had been enfranchised by Mark Antony during his Gallic campaign. Kenneth Wellesley wrote that he was nicknamed ''Beccus'' ("Beaky"), likely due to his physique. James Noel Adams writes, "''the cognomen Beccus, meaning ‘beak (of a cock)''’". The Loeb translation of Suetonius' Twelve Caesars says, "''in his youth bore the surname Becco, which means a rooster’s beak''”, the footnote that accompanies the above quote says, “''Gallus means “a cock,” as well as “a Gaul.''” Career During the reign of Nero, he was resident in Rome and a member of the Senate, from which he was expelled for conspiring to forge a will with Valerius Fabianus, and was banished from the city. He was subsequently reinstated by Galba, and placed in command of the Legio ...
