The prime minister of Azad Kashmir (Urdu: , romanized: Wazīr ē Aʿẓam lit. 'Grand Vizier', Urdu pronunciation: �əˈziːr-ˌeː ˈɑː.zəm is the chief executive of Azad Jammu and Kashmir region of Pakistan. The title of Prime Minister symbolizes the nominal independence of Azad Kashmir. The prime minister heads the Council of Ministers, who are appointed from amongst the members of the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly. The premier too is elected by the AJK Legislative Assembly which is directly elected by the people. The current prime minister is Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, a member of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party who took office on 20 April 2023 following the disqualification of Tanveer Ilyas Khan. Raja Mumtaz Hussain Rathore (Pahari-Pothwari: راجہ ممتاز حسین راٹھور) was an Azad Kashmiri politician. He served as Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir from 29 June 1990 to 5 July 1991. Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan () (1 June 1932 – 9 October 2021) was an Azad Kashmiri politician who served as the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir for two non-consecutives terms.
