The band's current lineup consists of Gillespie, Andrew Innes (guitar), Simone Butler (bass), and Darrin Mooney (drums). The band were a key part of the mid-1980s indie pop scene, but eventually moved away from their jangly sound, taking on more psychedelic music, psychedelic and garage rock influences, before incorporating a dance music element to their sound with their 1991 album ''Screamadelica'', which broke them into the mainstream. Primal Scream (Harvard)
Primal Scream is a tradition at Harvard University that forms part of the streaking at educational institutions. At midnight on the last night of reading period and before final exams begin, students streak through the Old Yard. The streakers begin in the north end of The Yard and generally make one lap around, but the more adventurous sometimes aim for more. This is done both semesters, even during New England winters. Some of the streakers dress up in capes and masks, or top hat and tails, or other costumes, but their genitalia are still exposed. The walkways through which students run are lined with spectators and the Harvard University Band plays beforehand to excite the crowd. Before it became a "night when the whole student body comes together to gawk at just that" it was a night with a closer association to its name. Beginning in the 1960s students would congregate in the Yard or open their windows and just yell for 10 minutes. It was designed as a way to release ...

The Primal Scream
''The Primal Scream. Primal Therapy: The Cure for Neurosis'' (1970; second edition 1999) is a book by the psychologist Arthur Janov, in which the author describes his experiences with patients during the months he developed primal therapy. Although Janov's claims were questioned by psychologists, the book was popular and brought Janov fame and popular success, which inspired other therapists to start offering primal therapy. Summary This book gives an account of the development of Primal Therapy. The book starts with an account of a group therapy session in 1967, during which a young man (Danny Wilson) underwent some kind of emotional catharsis during the therapy session. The young man was encouraged by Janov to call out for his mommy and daddy, which he did, only to fall into involuntary convulsions. After which, the young man announced "I can ''feel''", and he then had some kind of emotional resolution. In the remainder of the book, Janov develops a general theory of neurosis. ...

Primal Scream (Maynard Ferguson Album)
''Primal Scream'' is the eighth jazz album by Canadian trumpeter Maynard Ferguson on Columbia Records. ''Primal Scream'' marks the beginning of the second phase of Ferguson's career with Columbia, where his live big band sound is set aside in favor of lavish studio productions. The album credits reveal an all-star ensemble made up of New York's finest musicians, along with backing vocalists and strings were recruited for this release. While most of the tracks would remain studio creations only, his rendition of "Pagliacci" would become a concert feature for his touring band, and was heard by millions when he performed it as part of the closing ceremonies of the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. Reviews Maynard's late-70s recordings were generally not well received by jazz purists, but AllMusic's Jim Newsom described ''Primal Scream'' by saying "Ferguson's trademark trumpet playing is featured in all its screaming glory..." Reissues In 2004 ''Primal Scream'' was reissued by Wou ...

Primal Scream (Primal Scream Album)
''Primal Scream'' is the second studio album by Scottish rock band Primal Scream. It was released on 4 September 1989 in the United Kingdom by Creation Records and in the United States by Mercenary Records. Musically, it took a harder rock approach than their 1987 debut '' Sonic Flower Groove'' and did not achieve great success. However, the song "I'm Losing More Than I'll Ever Have" was later remixed to provide the breakthrough single " Loaded", which appeared on their much celebrated third album ''Screamadelica''. Critical reception The album received mixed-to-positive reviews from music critics. Tim Sendra of AllMusic wrote: "While the group was capable of whipping up a credible approximation of thuggish hard rock, Bobby Gillespie's fragile wisp of a voice is rather ill-suited to kicking out the jams." Track listing Personnel Credits adapted from liner notes. ;Primal Scream * Robert "Throb" Young – guitar * Bobby Gillespie Robert Gillespie ( ; born 22 June 1961) is a ...

Background The uncensored version of a "Primal Scream" music video contained full-frontal nudity of a female dancing at the end, but that scene was edited for heavy rotation when shown on television. The song was said by Nikki Sixx himself in an AskSixx session on ''Twitter'' in October 2015, to be about Arthur Janov's 1970 book '' The Primal Scream. Primal Therapy: A Cure For Neurosis'', as well as his own childhood. ''Decade of Decadence'' also included another single, the remix version of "Hom ...

''Birds of Prey'' is an American Superhero fiction, superhero television series that was developed by Laeta Kalogridis. The series aired on The WB from October 9, 2002 to February 19, 2003 and is loosely based on the DC Comics series Birds of Prey (team), of the same name. The series takes place in a Gotham City abandoned by Batman. The suits used in the Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher ''Batman'' films were used (albeit repainted) in the series, and the initial trailers for the series used footage of Michael Keaton (as Bruce Wayne (1989 film series character), Bruce Wayne / Batman) and Michelle Pfeiffer (as Selina Kyle (1989 film series character), Selina Kyle / Catwoman) from ''Batman Returns'', indicating that at one point in the series' development, it was intended to exist in a continuity adjacent to the Tim Burton ''Batman'' films. Additionally, artwork featuring the Burton incarnations of Batman and Catwoman was commissioned to promote the series as a TV Guide cover, but ul ...
