Pride Of Performance Awards (2020–2029)
The Pride of Performance is a civil award presented annually on independence day (14 August) by the president to the Pakistani citizens and foreign people in recognition of their contribution to the art, sports, literature, science and education. It also seeks to recognize the "meritorious contribution" to the national interest of Pakistan. It is the highest literary award bestowed by Pakistan. 2020 In 2020, the government of Pakistan presented forty-three Pride of Performance awards to the people working in different fields as described by its eligibility criteria. Squash, sometimes called squash rackets, is a List of racket sports, racket ball game, sport played by two (singles) or four players (doubles) in a four-walled court with a small, hollow, rubber ball. Kabaddi (, ) is a contact team sport played between two teams of seven players. It is one of the traditional games of South Asia. In this game, a raider enters the opposing half of the court to touch defenders and attempt to return within 30 seconds without being tackled. Indu Mitha (née Chatterjee) (born 1929) is a Pakistani exponent of Bharatnatyam and one of only two in the nation (the other being Sheema Kirmani). She also remained a faculty member at the National College of Arts#Rawalpindi Campus, Rawalpindi campus of the National College of the Arts, from which she has retired. Qawwali
Qawwali is a form of Sufi Islamic devotional singing originating in the Indian subcontinent. Originally performed at Sufi shrines throughout the Indian subcontinent, it is famous throughout Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Afghanistan and has also gained mainstream popularity and an international audience as of the late 20th century.
