The president of the Republic of Texas () was the head of state and head of government while Texas was an Republic of Texas, independent republic between 1836 and 1845. Velasco, Texas
Velasco was a town in Texas, United States, that was later merged with the city of Freeport by an election conducted by eligible voters of both municipalities on February 9, 1957.
