President Of The Polytechnic University Of The Philippines
The president of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines () is the principal executive officer of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. The president oversees the policy implementation, guide the institution towards the realization of its vision-mission, as well as monitor and administer the overall affairs of the university, and is the vice-chairman of its Board of Regents. Republic Act No. 8292, formed in 1996, establishes the powers, and appointment of the President of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Manuel Muhi, is the 13th and current president of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Manuel "Bong" M. Muhi (born December 22, 1966) is a Filipino civil engineer and educator who is the incumbent President of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. He was appointed by the university Board of Regents in accordance with the provisions of the Republic Act 8292, otherwise known as the Higher Education Modernization Act of 1997. The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP; ) is a public, coeducational, research university in Santa Mesa, Manila, Philippines. It was founded on 19 October 1904, as the Manila Business School (MBS) and as part of Manila's public school system. It was eventually promoted to a chartered state university in 1978, by virtue of Presidential Decree 1341. The enhanced community quarantine in Luzon was a series of stay-at-home orders and ''cordon sanitaire (medicine), cordon sanitaire'' measures implemented by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) on the island of Luzon and Geography of the Philippines#Luzon, its associated islands.
