Presente (Renato Russo Album)
''Presente'' (English: Gift) is the fourth and last solo album by Brazilian singer-songwriter Renato Russo, and his second posthumous one, released in March 2003, seven years after his death. Background Journalist and producer Marcelo Fróes searched Russo's personal archives and EMI's collection, willing to find anything that could be used for an album or something like that. Before he finished his work, he was summoned by the label to propose some release and he suggested using rarities left by Russo. It was something similar to a project that Reginaldo Ferreira, a former roadie of Russo's main band Legião Urbana and his personal friend, had presented to Jorge Davidson (the label's artistic manager), but had been rejected. Davidson ended up planning the album alone, without consulting Fróes. Renato Russo
Renato Russo (born Renato Manfredini, Jr., March 27, 1960 – October 11, 1996) was a Brazilian musician who was the lead singer of the pop rock band Legião Urbana. A Brazilian film depicting his life and career was released in 2013, called ''Somos Tão Jovens'' (''We Are So Young''). Early life Renato Manfredini Jr. was born in Governador Island, Rio de Janeiro. He started his studies at an early age, at Colégio Olavo Billac. During this period he wrote an essay titled "Old house, in ruins". His father was an executive at Banco do Brasil, and the family moved to New York City in 1967, when he was assigned a job in the city. Renato and his family returned later to Rio de Janeiro and moved in with his uncle Sávio. Hélio Delmiro
Hélio Delmiro (May 20, 1947 – June 16, 2025) was a Brazilian guitar player and composer. Delmiro started playing the guitar in early childhood. Thereafter, he played with many of the best Brazilian musicians, among whom were Moacyr Silva, Márcio Montarroyos, LuÃz Eça, Elis Regina, Elza Soares and Elizeth Cardoso. With César Camargo Mariano, he recorded in 1981 the album ''Samambaia'', which still holds as a landmark for Brazilian instrumental music. 14 Bis is a Brazilian pop-rock band. The band took its name from Santos-Dumont's 14 Bis airplane. The band was formed in 1979 in the state of Minas Gerais, when the members of two bands, O Terço and "Bendegó" decided to merge. Flávio Hugo Venturini (born July 23, 1949) is a Brazilian singer and songwriter. Biography Venturini took an early interest in music at the age of three. When he was fifteen he began his musical training. His first musical instrument was the accordion. Cathedral Song
"Cathedral Song" is a song by English singer-songwriter Tanita Tikaram, released as a single from her debut album, ''Ancient Heart'' (1988). It peaked at #48 in the UK. An extended length music video was made from the song, portraying a love story between two swimmers in a Summer setting. The video was shot in black and white, and Tikaram appears only in studio footage, not on the external footage. Most of the music video was filmed in Portugal, in Praia Grande, Praia do Guincho, Estoril and Cristo Rei sanctuary. Releases WEA released a limited edition 7-inch EP box set which had three prints from the video.
