Gary Joseph Pratt (born 22 December 1981) is an English former professional cricketer, who played as a left-handed batsman but also bowled right-arm off breaks. He is best known for running out Australia captain Ricky Ponting having come on as a substitute fielder in the fourth Test of England's 2–1 series victory in the 2005 Ashes. Pratt performed well in his early career, picking up the NBC Denis Compton Award in 1999 as the most promising young player at Durham County Cricket Club, and scored a century for England Under-19s. He stayed on at Durham, scoring more than 1,000 first-class runs in 2003. He failed to match that form afterwards; he did not play a single first-class game in 2005 (although he famously appeared as a substitute fielder for England) and in August 2006, Durham announced that they had decided not to renew Pratt's contract. Frederick Haven Pratt (19 July 1873 – 11 July 1958) was an American physiologist and served as a professor at Boston University from 1921 to his retirement. He contributed to early experimental studies on the electrical stimulation of muscles, developing techniques and instrumentation for the purpose. Pratt was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, where his father Frederick Sumner was a prominent businessman, and Sarah McKean née Hilliard. Enoch Pratt (September 10, 1808 – September 17, 1896) was an American businessman in Baltimore, Maryland. Pratt was also a committed active Unitarian, and a philanthropist. He is best known for his donations to establish the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore and expanding the former Sheppard Asylum to become The Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital, (now known as the Sheppard-Pratt Hospital for mental health and psychiatric research), located north of the city in western Towson, county seat of Baltimore County. Dudley Pratt (June 14, 1897 – November 18, 1975) was an American sculptor. He was born in Paris, France to Boston sculptors Bela and Helen Pratt. His sculptural education included study under Charles Grafly, Antoine Bourdelle, and Alexander Archipenko. Pratt married fellow sculptor Virginia Claflin while they were students at the School of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. The couple moved to Seattle in 1925, and Pratt began teaching at the University of Washington's School of Art. After Virginia's death in 1952, Pratt relocated to Croton Falls, New York, where he met and married the painter Colette (Finch) Halvorsen. In 1965, the Pratts moved to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico; Pratt died there in 1975.
