The Corporate Art Awards are the international awards for the best art projects developed by the business world. They were launched in Rome (Italy) in 2016 by pptArt under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Culture and with the support of the General Confederation of Italian Industry and LUISS Business School. 2016 edition Under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Culture, in 2016 pptArt organized the first edition of the Corporate Art Awards, aimed at recognizing the best collaborations between the Corporate World and the Art World. Out of 80 participating companies from 22 countries, the winners were Banca Intesa Sanpaolo and Deutsche Bank for the best corporate collection, American Express for its international restoration program, Shiseido for the oldest corporate collection in Japan and Piaggio for the social media campaign to support its corporate museum. Ugo Nespolo
Ugo Nespolo (born 29 August 1941 in Mosso, Biella) is an Italian artist, painter, sculptor, filmmaker and writer. He lives and works in Turin. Life and works Nespolo graduated at the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti of Turin with Enrico Paulucci and obtained a degree in Modern Literature at the University of Turin, with a thesis on Semiology. His career as an artist started in the 1960s. His work was influenced by Pop Art, which was becoming popular in Italy in those years, conceptual art, Arte Povera and Fluxus. He had a chance to see and appreciate closely these movements during a trip to the United States in 1967. He would then continue to regularly visit the States, where he would spend long periods of time, especially during the 1980s. Alexander Evgenievich Ponomarev
Alexander Evgenievich Ponomarev (born 21 May 1957) is a Russian multidisciplinary contemporary visual artist. He was awarded the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture "for merits in literature and art" in 2008. Biography Ponomarev was born in 1957 in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. In 1973 he graduated from the School of Fine Arts Orel (Russia). In 1979, he graduated from the Higher Engineering Marine School in Odesa. While serving in the naval fleets of Russia he carried out a number of artistic projects at sea, as well as in the Arctic, Greenland and Antarctica. John David Mooney is a Chicago-based, internationally recognized artist, known for his large-scale public sculptures, light pieces, and environmental installations. Astronomy, science, and nature have played a significant role in Mooney's art, and his public sculptures often draw inspiration from the spirit of place, the importance of the site, its history, and present environment.
