Pottery Of Ancient Greece
Pottery, due to its relative durability, comprises a large part of the archaeological record of ancient Greece, and since there is so much of it (over 100,000 painted vases are recorded in the Corpus vasorum antiquorum), it has exerted a disproportionately large influence on our understanding of Greek Society#Politics and society, Greek society. Sub-Mycenaean Pottery
Submycenaean pottery is a style of Ancient Greek pottery that is transitional between the preceding Mycenaean pottery and the subsequent styles of Greek vase painting, particularly the Protogeometric style. Minyan ware is a broad Archaeology, archaeological term describing varieties of a particular style of Aegean civilization, Aegean burnished pottery associated with the Middle Helladic period (c. 2000/1900–1550 BC). Cycladic Art
The ancient Cycladic culture flourished in the islands of the Aegean Sea from c. 3300 to 1100 BCE. Along with the Minoan civilization and Mycenaean Greece, the Cycladic people are counted among the three major Aegean cultures.
