POSCO International Corporation (Korean: 포스코인터내셔널) is South Korea's largest trading company and a subsidiary of POSCO. The company was founded by Kim Woo-choong in 1967 as Daewoo Industrial Co., Ltd, which ran its business in trading and construction. In 1999, the company faced at least $50 billion in debt, and Daewoo became formally dismantled. Park Tae-Joon
Park Tae-joon (; October 24, 1927 – December 13, 2011) was a South Korean business tycoon and politician who briefly served as the prime minister of South Korea in 2000. His most renowned accomplishment includes founding of POSCO and growing it into one of the world's largest and most successful steel companies during his multi-decade tenure as chairman and CEO. For this, he was often called the "Korean Andrew Carnegie". Earlier in his life, he served in the South Korean Army and led several platoons during the Korean War and eventually reaching the rank of Major General. Gwangyang
Gwangyang (; ) is a city in South Jeolla Province, South Korea. Gwangyang is the home of POSCO's Gwangyang Steel Works, the largest facility of its kind in the world. The city is also home to K League Classic football side Jeonnam Dragons. Korea Tungsten Company (KTC, was a major South Korean manufacturer of tungsten cutting tools, tungsten powder, and related metal-cutting products. It was the 28th-largest chaebol by asset with subsidiaries such as Korea Tungsten Construction and Korea Sintered Metal. In 1952, KTC appointed its first President, Ahn Taek Jun.
