Portadown Textile Workers' Union
The Portadown Textile Workers' Union was a trade union in the United Kingdom. The union split from the Portadown, Banbridge and District Textile Workers' Union, which had been established in 1909. The Transport and General Workers' Union (TGWU or T&G) was one of the largest general union, general trade unions in the United Kingdom and Ireland—where it was known as the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers' Union (ATGWU)—with 900,000 members (and was once the largest trade union in the world).
