Pop Up (album)
''Pop Up'' is the debut studio album by French electropop band Yelle. It was released on 3 September 2007 by the EMI-owned label Source Etc. The album peaked at number 61 in France, where it was certified silver by the Syndicat National de l'Édition Phonographique (SNEP). As of June 2008, the album had sold 45,000 copies in France and 11,000 copies in the United States. Promotion On 26 February 2008, Yelle performed the track "A cause des garçons (song), A cause des garçons" on the BBC Three talk show ''Lily Allen and Friends''. They were featured as MTV's Artist of the Week for the week of 24–30 March 2008, appearing during adverts. The group also appeared twice on NBC's ''Last Call with Carson Daly'', performing "A cause des garçons" on 12 November 2008 and "Ce jeu" on 4 February 2009. Pop-up Exhibition
A pop-up exhibition is a temporary art event, less formal than a gallery or museum but more formal than private artistic showing of work. Pop-up exhibits are erroneously called pop-up museums, such as the Museum of Ice Cream but do not fit the International Council of Museums definition of a museum. The idea began in 2007 in New York City where space for exhibiting artistic work is very limited. Although the idea originated from New York City, pop-up exhibitions occur all around the world. A recent example is Banksy's Dismaland, which ran from August to September 2015. Pop-up exhibitions usually allow for a more immersive experience for the visitor. Unlike most traditional museums, some pop-up exhibitions encourage the viewer to interact with the artwork. Pop-up Globe
Pop-up Globe was a New Zealand theatre production company, based in Auckland, New Zealand. It produced Jacobean theatre, particularly the works of Shakespeare, in specially-built temporary replicas of the second Globe, the theatre Shakespeare and his company built and used. The company's theatre was the world's first full-scale reconstruction of the Second Globe Theatre (1614–44). Between 2015 and 2020, Pop-up Globe attracted audiences of approximately 748,000 people to predominantly Shakespeare productions across New Zealand and Australia, constructing five temporary Pop-up Globe playhouses in four cities. Toss bombing (sometimes known as loft bombing, and by the U.S. Air Force as the Low Altitude Bombing System, or LABS) is a method of bombing where the attacking aircraft pulls upward when releasing its bomb load to compensate for the weapons’ gravity drop in flight. Boilie
Boilies are a type of artificial fishing bait made from boiled paste that usually consists of fishmeals, milk proteins, bird foods, semolina and soya flour, which are mixed with egg white as a binding agent. ''Bumpy'' is a 1989 platform game created by Loriciels. It was published for ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, MSX, Atari ST, and MS-DOS. Gameplay The player controls a ball, collecting items to open the exit. While most platforms are perfectly harmless, some have additional qualities, such as being destructible, thereby granting access to other parts of the screen. Some platforms are on fire, which will turn out lethal unless the player has picked up a water droplet in advance. In the sports of baseball and softball, a batted ball is a Pitch (baseball), pitch that has been contacted by the batter's bat.
