The Police and Border Guard Board () is a unified national governmental agency within the Estonian Ministry of the Interior (Estonia), Ministry of Interior and is responsible for law enforcement and internal security in the Republic of Estonia. Estonian Police
The Estonian Police () was the law enforcement agency of Estonia. It was subordinate to the Ministry of the Interior (Estonia), Ministry of the Interior. In 2010, the organization was superseded by the Police and Border Guard Board. History Formation and disbandment (1918–1940) The Estonian Police was established on 12 November 1918, when police stations were taken over from the German occupation of Estonia during World War I, German occupation forces by the Chief of Militia – Aleksander Hellat. Between 1918 and 1919, the Estonian police force was called "militia" (). It was subordinate to the local self-government and acted according to the Russian Provisional Government law. Walther P99
The Walther P99 () is a semi-automatic pistol developed by the German company Carl Walther GmbH Sportwaffen of Ulm for law enforcement, security forces and the civilian shooting market. History Design work on this new generation sidearm began in 1994, and the handgun was presented in 1997 with series production commencing that same year as a replacement for the Walther P5 and the P88. Walther announced the discontinuation of the P99 in early 2023. Evolution The Walther P99 was modified several times throughout its production history, as were the magazines. When the P99 was introduced the magazine capacities were 16 rounds for 9×19mm Parabellum and 12 rounds for .40 S&W. Magazines had witness holes on both sides. A semi-automatic pistol (also called a self-loading pistol, autopistol, or autoloading pistol) is a repeating firearm, repeating handgun that automatically ejects and loads cartridge (firearms), cartridges in its chamber (firearms), chamber after every shot fired, but only one round of ammunition is fired each time the Trigger (firearms), trigger is pulled. SIG Sauer P226
The SIG Sauer P226 is a full-sized service pistol made by SIG Sauer. This model is available in four chamberings: the 9×19mm Parabellum, .40 S&W, .357 SIG, or .22 Long Rifle. It has the same mechanism of operation as the SIG Sauer P220, but is developed to use higher capacity, double stack magazines in place of the single stack magazines of the P220.
