Polish Union Of Peasant Activists
The Polish Union of Peasant Activists ( Polish: ''Polski Związek Ludowców'', PZL) was an agrarian party that operated in Poland from 1923 to 1924. Its leader was Jan Bryl. The party was formed in 1923 by separating from the Polish People's Party "Piast", and functioned until 1924, when it united with the Polish People's Party "Left", forming the Agrarian Union. Polish People's Party "Piast" or Polish Peasant Party "Piast" ( pl, Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe "Piast", ''PSL Piast'') was a political party from the interwar period of the Second Polish Republic (1913–1931). Piast refers to the medieval Piast dynasty, Poland's founding royal house. Political significance PSL Piast was an important political party in the Second Polish Republic. It was created in 1913 and after Poland regained independence in 1918, it formed a part of several governments, most notably after the Lanckorona Pact and in the Chjeno-Piast coalition. The Second Polish Republic, at the time officially known as the Republic of Poland, was a country in Central and Eastern Europe that existed between 1918 and 1939. The Polish People's Party "Left" ( pl, Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe "Lewica", PSL Lewica) was a political party in Poland.
