Planetarium Station
Planetarium station is a light rail station in Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States, served by the Blue Line of the Utah Transit Authority's (UTA) TRAX system. The Blue Line has service from the Salt Lake Intermodal Hub in Downtown Salt Lake City to Draper. For several years before the Airport Extension was opened, it was also on the route of the Green Line. Description The station is at 150 South 400 West with the island platform in the median of the street. It is immediately east of the Clark Planetarium and the rest of The Gateway, as well as southwest of the Vivint Smart Home Arena. The station opened on April 27, 2008, and is operated by the Utah Transit Authority. It is one of three additional stations that extended TRAX from Arena Station to the Intermodal Hub in 2008. The Gateway is a large, open-air retail, residential, and office complex in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. It is centered on the historic Union Pacific Depot on the west side of Downtown Salt Lake City between 50 North and 200 South streets and between 400 and 500 West streets. Rio Grande Street has been the site of many special events and becomes a one-way street and heads north through the center. Clark Planetarium
The Clark Planetarium is a planetarium and science museum situated within The Gateway at the intersection of 400 West and 100 South in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. The Clark Planetarium opened in April 2003, replacing the historic Hansen Planetarium under a grant from the Clark Foundation in cooperation with Salt Lake County. Hansen Dome Theater The dome is a 55-foot (16.8 m) perforated aluminum dome manufactured by Astro-tec Manufacturing Inc.
